Road

You’ve got the dream:

Riding Mexico. Maybe it’s a stretch of the Pan-American, maybe it’s tacos in Oaxaca, or a balmy beach, or maybe it’s just the open road calling. But then the doubts creep in — where do I start? Will I be safe? How do I order gas in Spanish? And do I really have to spend weeks buried in Google Maps to figure this out? I get it. Mexico can be incredible, and magical, if you step outside your comfort zone and go for it!

Here’s where I can help. I’ve logged 55,000 km across Mexico, ridden back and forth between Vancouver, B.C. and Mérida, Yucatan seven times, and split my life between here and Canada since 2019. I know the roads, the culture, the language — and I know how overwhelming it feels at the start.

Mexico is unpredictable (that’s part of the magic), and no one can promise every mile will go smoothly. But I can help you cut through the confusion, give you a solid plan, and be the support you need so your trip actually happens — and happens beautifully.

David Watson, NZ

"When I first came into Mexico on my motorcycle, I was planning to stick to the main routes, but with Antonia's guidance I ended up riding right through the center of the country. That completely changed my trip. I had some amazing experiences and visited places I never would have found on my own.

She knows a lot of great towns that are beautiful, interesting, and welcoming to stay in. These were places I would not have even thought to stop, but with her advice they became some of the highlights of my ride.

Antonia was always available to help, whether that meant suggesting routes, considering how much time I had for each stage of the trip, or pointing out places worth exploring along the way. She has a wide knowledge of Mexico and combines it with a very practical sense of what riders need on the road."

About Me

IMG-20230402-WA0051_edited_edited.jpg

I first rolled into Mexico in 2001, crossing the border by car and catching the bug for the open road. A few years later, I lived in San José del Cabo for a year, then road-tripped my way across the country until, in 2019, I found my true ride: exploring Mexico by motorcycle. Since then, I’ve clocked over 55,000 km through mountains, deserts, jungles, and coasts, and have still only scratched the surface. Now I call Mérida, Yucatán my part-time base, where I’m opening a coworking space for digital nomads when I’m not chasing tacos, dodging topes, and finding the next great ride.
